Cookies are small pieces of information a website asks your browser to store. Local storage is another browser storage feature. This page describes the technologies used by the current version of The Cozy Forkful.

What this site uses
- Saved recipes:
cozy-forkful-recipes-v1in local storage holds the IDs of recipes you choose to save, up to 500. It has no automatic expiry and stays on this browser until removed. When you open your recipe box, those IDs are sent to our server to retrieve the matching recipes. - Cooking progress: keys beginning
cozy-forkful-cooking-v1:store serving counts, ingredient and instruction checkmarks, and timer settings for individual public recipes. They expire after 30 days without an update and are cleared on a later visit. They contain no recipe text or personal details and are not sent to our server. “Reset cooking progress” clears the current recipe’s settings. Protected recipes and previews do not store this progress persistently. - WordPress administration: cookies with names such as
wordpress_test_cookie,wordpress_logged_in_*,wordpress_sec_*, andwp-settings-*support login, authentication, and administrator preferences. These relate to the login/admin area. Their lifetime varies with the cookie and whether “Remember me” is selected. - Password-protected content: a
wp-postpass_*cookie can be set when you submit a password for a protected page. It normally expires after 10 days.
The current theme does not load a visitor analytics tracker or display-advertising integration. Its fonts and recipe images are hosted on this site. The contact form uses server-side spam prevention rather than a third-party CAPTCHA.
Your controls
Use your browser’s privacy or site-data settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage for thecozyforkful.com. Instructions are available in the help section of your browser. Blocking storage can stop saved recipes, remembered cooking progress, or login features from working; cooking controls still work during the current visit. Clearing the site’s data clears the recipe box for that browser. You can also remove a saved recipe by pressing its heart button again.
Advertising and future changes
If advertising or other services are introduced, this policy and our Privacy Policy will be updated to describe their storage and privacy controls. This page provides information; it does not itself change browser settings or collect consent.
